I've been involved in a variety of real estate investments, from typical rental real estate, to recreational lodging, wholesaling, fix and flips, AirBnB, sydications in hotels, apartments and build to rent, as well as residential assisted living. I've also been a pilot for over 40 years, both in the U.S. Air Force and as Captain for a major U.S. airline.
Perhaps you aren't happy with the cash flow from your investments. Stock market has you freaked out. Landlording has become a full time job and a headache. We have a lot in common.
With a few years to go before my retirement from flying for a living, I turned to notes secured by real estate to create a cash flow stream that will be my "pension" going forward. In less than 18 months I took cash that was on the sidelines, as well as money in retirement accounts, and created a reliable passive income flow backed by residential real estate. Very simply, I became the bank, not the landlord. Because these assets are secured by properties with equity well above the balance on the notes, I have as strong position when it comes to working out the rare occurrence of a borrower becoming delinquent on the loan.
There is no doubt that this economy is hitting individuals and families hard. Inflation has made everything more expensive, and that in turn can make it difficult to make the mortgage payment on time for some. Foreclosures are projected to rise. However, as a private lender, a note holder is empowered to make a difference in a borrower's life that the big banks can't.
We have the ability to offer creative and flexible options to get borrowers who have faced some hardship back on track. Instead of just being another loan number, each of our borrowers is a real person who is facing a setback and deserves compassion and understanding in crafting a way to help them through some temporary difficulty.
